Instructions
Crush the Oreos: Put the cookies in a zip-top bag and crush with a rolling pin until mostly fine crumbs (a few tiny pebble bits are fine). For super-sandy “dirt,” pulse in a food processor for 10–15 seconds.
Whisk the pudding: In a medium bowl, whisk the instant pudding mix with the cold milk for 2 minutes, until thicker but still pourable.
Let it stand, then lighten it: Let the pudding sit 5 minutes to firm up, then fold in the thawed whipped topping until no white streaks remain (fold gently; don’t beat).
Stir in some crumbs (optional): Mix in about 60 g / 1/2 cup of the Oreo crumbs for a cookies-and-cream vibe and a slightly sturdier pudding layer.
Layer into cups: Spoon or pipe the pudding into 6–8 small clear cups (about 6–7 oz / 170–200 ml each). Top each with a thick layer of Oreo crumbs.
Chill: Refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
Decorate right before serving: Add gummy worms (and any optional extras) at the last minute so they don’t dry out or get sticky in the fridge.
