Instructions
Prep your setting area. Line a large rimmed sheet pan with parchment paper (or wax paper). You’re not baking—this is just where the mix sets without sticking.
Build the dry mix. In a very large bowl, add the Chex, Cheerios, pretzels, peanuts, M&M’s, and candy corn. Toss with your hands or a big spatula so the candy isn’t all sitting on top.
Melt the white chocolate. Add the white chocolate chips and oil to a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second bursts, stirring well each time, until smooth. Stop heating when there are a few small lumps left and stir them out (overheated white chocolate can get grainy).
Coat the mix (gently). Pour the melted white chocolate over the bowl. Fold and turn with a spatula, scraping from the bottom up, until most pieces look lightly coated (don’t chase fully white coverage or it can clump and lose crunch).
Set it out to firm up. Dump the mix onto your parchment-lined pan and spread into an even-ish layer. Let sit at room temperature 20–40 minutes, or until the chocolate is set. If you’re in a hurry, chill the pan in the fridge 10–15 minutes.
Break and serve. Once firm, break up any big clusters with your hands and transfer to a serving bowl.
Party move (optional): Right before serving, toss in a small handful of extra candy corn or M&M’s so it looks abundant.
